Assignments
Course requirements:
1. Tutorial attendance and informed participation (20%)
2. 500-word document analysis – Fall (10%)
3. One hour term exam – Fall (15%)
4. 500-word document analysis – Winter (10%)
5. 1500-word analytical essay – Winter (15%).
6. Three-hour cumulative final examination (30%)
The document analyses are due October 21 and January 27, and the essay is due March 10. The document analysis assignments will be posted on the course web site on October 7 and January 13. Essay topics will be posted on the course web site on February 10. Late essays are penalized three points per calendar day (including weekends). Exceptions to this rule are made only for documented medical emergency or family tragedy. Essays may not be submitted via fax or email. Students must complete all requirements in order to receive standing in the course.
