Jewish history, popcorn included
In the past few weeks, one theme that has surfaced time and again in discussions is the issue of Jewish identity – what does it mean to be Jewish? How do we define a Jew? The New York Times has grappled with some of these questions in a review of recent movies with strong Jewish content such Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds and the the Coen brothers’ A Serious Man.
